The Seed of the Woman

The Bible's first promise, narrowing across the ages to one child.

In the ruins of Eden God promises an offspring of the woman who will crush the serpent. The promise narrows — to Abraham's seed, to David's son, to a child called Mighty God — until "the fullness of time" when God sends his Son, born of a woman, to defeat the dragon at last.
