Overview
Paul names four grounds why no condemnation can stand: Christ's death paid for sin, his resurrection vindicated that payment, his exaltation shows his authority, and his intercession applies his work continually. Together with the Spirit's intercession (v. 26), Christ pleads our cause before the Father. This verse is one of the clearest assurances in Scripture that those in Christ are forever beyond condemnation.
