Quick answer

The risen Christ now reigns at God's right hand with every spiritual power subjected to Him. This assures believers that their Savior is sovereign over all hostile forces.

Overview

Peter completes the movement from Christ's suffering to His exaltation: He has ascended and sits in the place of supreme authority. All angels, authorities, and powers are made subject to Him, echoing Psalm 110. For suffering Christians this is great comfort, since the One they follow already rules over every power that might oppose them.
