Quick answer
Nor must anyone descend into the abyss to bring Christ up from the dead. His resurrection is already accomplished and need not be achieved by us.
Overview
Continuing his use of Deuteronomy 30:13, Paul says faith does not demand plunging into the depths to raise Christ. The point is that Christ has already been raised from the dead; salvation does not depend on our impossible labors but on what God has already done in the death and resurrection of his Son. Faith simply receives this finished work rather than striving to produce it.
