Overview
The LORD responds to the prayer by pledging wonders to rival the exodus, "I will show them marvelous things." The first redemption becomes the pattern and pledge of a greater one to come. This anticipates the ultimate exodus accomplished in Christ, who leads His people out of bondage to sin and death.
