Overview
The exodus was Israel's defining salvation event, the standard reference point for God's redeeming power. Here God foretells a deliverance so great it will eclipse even the exodus in the people's memory. This points to the coming regathering from exile and, in fuller measure, to the greater redemption accomplished in Christ, whose saving work surpasses every prior act of deliverance.
