Quick answer
God promises to bring health and healing to the city and to reveal abundance of peace and truth. Judgment gives way to deep restoration.
Overview
After the scene of death, God pledges to heal the wounded city and grant abundant, lasting peace and faithfulness. The imagery of healing speaks of restored covenant well-being, body and soul of the nation. This healing of God's people anticipates the spiritual healing accomplished in Christ, by whose wounds His people are healed (Isa. 53:5; 1 Pet. 2:24).
