Quick answer
In contrast to fading human glory, the Lord himself will be a crown of glory to His remnant.
Overview
Over against Ephraim's withering crown, God promises to be the true crown and diadem for the surviving remnant of His people. Lasting glory is found not in self but in God himself. This anticipates the believer's true crown in Christ, who is the glory and beauty of His redeemed people.
