Overview
In direct answer to the taunt of v.13, God declares the land will no longer consume its inhabitants or rob the nation of its children. What was a place of death and loss becomes a place of life and security. This reversal of the curse points toward the ultimate undoing of death itself in Christ, who turns the ground of judgment into the ground of life (1 Cor. 15:54-57).
