Quick answer

Therefore be steadfast and abound in the Lord's work, knowing your labor is not in vain. It matters because resurrection hope gives lasting meaning to Christian service.

Overview

Paul concludes the resurrection chapter with practical exhortation. Because the resurrection is sure, believers should stand firm and pour themselves into the Lord's work, confident it has eternal value. The certainty of resurrection transforms how Christians live and serve here and now.
