Overview
Paul reports that he has, in a sense, finished pioneering in the eastern Mediterranean and has no more unevangelized ground there. His long-held yearning to see the Roman believers can now move toward fulfillment. This reflects both his sense of a completed phase of ministry and his warm desire for fellowship with this church he did not found.
