Quick answer
God promises to answer, be present in trouble, and rescue and honor those who call on Him.
Overview
God assures the believer of answered prayer, His presence in affliction, deliverance, and honor. He does not promise a life free of trouble, but His nearness within it. This intimate presence in trouble is fulfilled in Christ, Immanuel, "God with us," who is with His people always (Matt. 1:23; 28:20).
