Quick answer
God will send rain for the crops so the land yields rich, plentiful bread and ample pasture. It matters because restored fellowship with God brings renewed material blessing.
Overview
Isaiah depicts God reversing curse with abundant harvest and grazing land for the day of renewal. The picture of fertility signals God's favor returning to His people. Such Edenic abundance foreshadows the full restoration of creation under God's reign, the goal toward which redemption in Christ moves.
