Quick answer

Asher's children, including his daughter Serah, are listed among Jacob's family. They become the tribe of Asher.

Overview

Asher was Zilpah's second son. Notably a daughter, Serah, is named, and even grandsons (Heber and Malchiel) are recorded, showing the care with which Scripture preserves the covenant line. These details reflect God's faithfulness in multiplying Abraham's seed exactly as He had promised.

Christ at the center

From the first promise that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent (3:15), through Abraham's blessing to all nations and Judah's coming ruler, Genesis sows every seed that flowers in Christ — the true offspring, the better Adam, the ram caught for Isaac.
