Quick answer

The prince may not seize the people's land but must provide for his sons from his own holdings. Rulers are forbidden to oppress; the people's inheritance is protected.

Overview

In sharp contrast to Israel's past kings who seized property (cf. 1 Kings 21; Ezek. 45:8), this prince is barred from dispossessing the people. God safeguards the inheritance so 'my people not be scattered.' Such just, self-restrained leadership foreshadows the righteous rule of Christ, the King who serves and protects rather than exploits His people (Mark 10:42-45).
