Quick answer
God will answer the idol-harboring inquirer Himself, in keeping with the multitude of his idols.
Overview
Rather than ignoring them, God promises to respond in a way that fits their idolatry—exposing and judging it. To approach Him while clinging to idols invites a sobering reply, not the guidance they sought. The verse warns that God will not be manipulated by hypocritical worship.
