Quick answer
These mighty acts were given so Israel would know Yahweh alone is God. Redemption is meant to produce true knowledge of the one God.
Overview
The purpose of the exodus was revelatory: that Israel might know there is no God besides Yahweh. This is a cornerstone of biblical monotheism and the foundation for the first commandment. To know the one true God is eternal life, fully unveiled in Jesus Christ whom he sent (John 17:3).
