Overview
Mount Nebo, across from Jericho, gave a panoramic view of the land promised to Abraham's descendants. God graciously lets Moses behold the inheritance even though he is barred from entering. The scene foreshadows the believer's view of promises fulfilled finally in Christ, the heavenly inheritance toward which faith looks (Heb. 11:13-16).
