Quick answer
God condemns Judah for rejecting his law and being led astray by lies. Unlike the nations, Judah sinned against the revealed word of God.
Overview
Now the spotlight turns to God's own covenant people. Judah's sin is not mainly cruelty but covenant unfaithfulness: despising God's law and following the 'lies' of false worship that their ancestors pursued. Having God's word increases responsibility. This warns that religious privilege without obedience invites greater judgment, a truth fulfilled in Christ who calls his people to true faith and obedience.
