Quick answer

Paul prays constantly that God would make the Thessalonians worthy of their calling and powerfully complete every good desire and work of faith in them. Growth in godliness is God's gift, sought in prayer.

Overview

Being made "worthy" of their calling means God fulfilling in them the very life their calling implies, accomplished by his power rather than their effort alone. The pairing of "desire of goodness" and "work of faith" shows that God shapes both the inner will and outward action (Philippians 2:13). Paul's prayer models how Christian maturity is pursued through dependence on God.
