Quick answer

He sacrifices his children in the fire, practices sorcery and divination, and consults mediums, doing much evil to provoke the Lord. His sins reached the horror of child sacrifice and forbidden occult arts.

Overview

Child sacrifice in the Valley of Hinnom and traffic with the occult were among the gravest sins condemned by the law (cf. Deuteronomy 18:10-12; Leviticus 18:21). The Valley of Hinnom (Gehenna) later became an image of judgment. Manasseh's deeds represent a near-total abandonment of the covenant and a deliberate provocation of God's holy anger.
