Overview
Ethan (also called Jeduthun) represents the Merarite branch among the three chief musicians, completing the trio with Heman and Asaph. Psalm 89 is ascribed to Ethan the Ezrahite. With singers drawn from all three Levitical clans, the Chronicler shows worship as the joint offering of the whole tribe set apart to God.
