Quick answer
The line of Kohath is traced through Amminadab, Korah, and Assir. This includes Korah, a notable and cautionary name in Israel's history.
Overview
The Chronicler records the Kohathite descent, which includes Korah, who led a rebellion against Moses and Aaron (Numbers 16). Yet the line continued, for Korah's own sons did not perish (Numbers 26:11), and his descendants later served as singers and gatekeepers. This shows God's mercy in preserving a faithful remnant even out of a family marked by judgment.
