Overview
Azariah, also known as Uzziah, reigned long and prosperously before his proud presumption in the temple (2 Chronicles 26). Jotham followed faithfully. The Chronicler keeps the royal succession intact, showing God's preservation of David's throne even through human pride and weakness, until the perfect King would come.
