Quick answer
Ishmael's descendants begin to be listed, beginning with his firstborn Nebaioth.
Overview
True to form, the Chronicler first records the line of Ishmael before focusing on Isaac (Genesis 25:13-16). God had promised to make Ishmael fruitful, and these sons fulfill that word. Listing them shows God's faithfulness to His promises even toward those outside the covenant line.
