Quick answer

More peoples descend from Mizraim, with a note that the Philistines came from this branch.

Overview

This verse continues Egypt's descendants and parenthetically links the origin of the Philistines, longtime adversaries of Israel (Genesis 10:14). The Chronicler records origins matter-of-factly, even of Israel's enemies. Knowing where the nations come from reminds the reader that the Lord who governs history will finally subdue all opposition to His people.
