The wisdom by which God made the world — and the Wisdom made flesh.
Proverbs personifies Wisdom as present with God before creation, the master craftsman at his side; Job asks where wisdom can be found and answers that it belongs to God alone; Ecclesiastes tests every earthly path and finds it wanting. The New Testament gathers the thread into a person: Christ, "the wisdom of God," "in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." To seek wisdom, in the end, is to seek him.- 1
