Quick answer

The bride joyfully declares that she belongs to her beloved and that his desire is toward her. Secure, mutual belonging is the crown of their love.

Overview

This is the third and warmest form of the belonging refrain (cf. 2:16; 6:3); now she rejoices not only in mutual possession but in his desire for her. The word 'desire' recalls Genesis 3:16, yet here it appears redeemed turned toward her in love rather than strife. The verse beautifully pictures love restored and secure, a hint of the harmony grace brings.
