Quick answer
God, who searches hearts, fully understands the Spirit's intercession because the Spirit prays for believers in line with God's own will. So even our inarticulate prayers reach the Father effectively.
Overview
Building on v. 26, Paul assures us that the Father, who knows the heart, perfectly reads the mind of the Spirit. Because the Spirit always intercedes for the saints according to God's will, these prayers are never misdirected. Within the Trinity, Father, Son, and Spirit work together for the believer's good, so that our prayers, though weak, are heard and answered according to God's perfect purpose.
