Quick answer

God's decrees are fully trustworthy, and holiness befits His house forever. The reigning God is also the holy, reliable lawgiver.

Overview

The psalm closes by joining God's kingship to His sure word and the holiness of His dwelling. His statutes are as firm as His throne, and His people are called to holiness fitting His presence. This holiness is supremely upheld in Christ, who sanctifies His people as God's holy temple (1 Peter 1:16; Hebrews 12:14).

Christ at the center

The Psalms are Christ's own prayer book and a gallery of his portraits — the suffering one of Psalm 22, the risen Lord of Psalm 16, the priest-king of Psalm 110, the Son to whom the nations are given.

How Psalms 93:5 points to him is part of the one story that runs through all Scripture — meet Jesus at the heart of the web, or follow a trail that traces him from Genesis to Revelation.
