Quick answer
Nevertheless these 'gods' will die like mere men and fall like any ruler. Even the mighty are mortal and accountable to God.
Overview
Despite their exalted title, the unjust rulers remain mortal and will perish like all others, stripped of any pretended immunity. Their authority is borrowed and temporary, and God will hold them to account. This humbling reminder applies to all human power, which stands under the judgment of the eternal God.
