Quick answer
Yet despite his foolishness, Asaph remains continually with God, who holds him by his right hand.
Overview
The great 'nevertheless' turns from confession to assurance: God did not let him go. Even in his doubt, God upheld him by the hand. This sustaining grace, which keeps believers despite their weakness, is fully secured in Christ, from whose hand no one can snatch his own (John 10:28-29).
