Quick answer

The priest presents the sin and burnt offerings before the Lord on the Nazirite's behalf.

Overview

The priest mediates, offering first the sin offering for atonement, then the burnt offering for full dedication. This ordering reflects the consistent biblical pattern that cleansing precedes consecration. It points to the necessity of a mediator, fulfilled in Christ our great High Priest.

Christ at the center

In the wilderness Christ is the water from the rock, the bronze serpent lifted up that the dying might look and live (John 3:14), and the star and scepter that Balaam saw rising out of Jacob.
