Quick answer
Moses is set apart as uniquely faithful in all God's house. His distinctive standing rebukes his critics.
Overview
God declares Moses faithful in his whole house, marking him above the ordinary prophet. Hebrews takes up this verse to contrast Moses, faithful as a servant, with Christ, faithful as a Son over God's house (Heb. 3:5-6). Moses' faithfulness thus points beyond itself to the greater faithfulness of Christ.
