Overview
Anathoth was a Levitical town and the home of the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:1), who himself had foretold this return after seventy years (Jeremiah 29:10). The restoration confirms that God's word never fails, a faithfulness ultimately displayed in Christ, in whom all God's promises are yes (2 Corinthians 1:20).
