Quick answer

Overview
Beersheba marked the traditional southern boundary of Israel's territory ('from Dan to Beersheba'). Resettling such border towns showed the breadth of the restoration, reaching the historic edges of the land. God's faithfulness restored his people not partially but across the full extent of their promised inheritance.
