Quick answer

The woman, no longer hidden, comes trembling and publicly tells why she touched Him and how she was healed. Faith is brought into open confession.

Overview

Realizing she cannot stay concealed, the woman falls before Jesus and declares the whole truth before the crowd. Jesus draws out her testimony not to shame her but to confirm and complete her healing. Her public confession turns a private cure into a witness to His mercy.

Christ at the center

Luke shows Jesus the Savior for all — outsiders, the poor, the nations — the one who, on the Emmaus road, opened all the Scriptures to show they were about himself.

How Luke 8:47 points to him is part of the one story that runs through all Scripture — meet Jesus at the heart of the web, or follow a trail that traces him from Genesis to Revelation.
