Overview
Full restitution plus a twenty-percent penalty is paid directly to the wronged party, and on the same day reconciliation with God is sought. Horizontal and vertical reconciliation are joined: making peace with people accompanies making peace with God. Jesus likewise teaches that reconciliation with a brother belongs together with worship (Matthew 5:23-24).
