Overview
Passover commemorated Israel's deliverance from Egypt, when the blood of the lamb spared the firstborn (Exodus 12). It stood at the head of the festal year as the memorial of redemption. Paul declares its fulfillment plainly: 'Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed' (1 Corinthians 5:7).
