Quick answer

God will deliver them to their enemies, and their corpses will become food for birds and beasts. The covenant curse falls in full severity.

Overview

Just as they passed between the slain calf, so they will suffer death and dishonor, their bodies left unburied. This fulfills the self-maledictory force of the covenant ritual and the curses of the law (Deut. 28:26). The grim imagery warns of the terrible consequences of despising God's covenant.
