Quick answer

The one who looks intently into the perfect law of liberty and perseveres in doing it will be blessed in his doing. Obedient, ongoing engagement with God's word brings blessing.

Overview

By contrast with the forgetful hearer, the blessed person gazes attentively into God's "perfect law of freedom" and continues as a doer. The gospel is called a law of liberty because, through Christ, obedience flows from a freed and willing heart rather than mere external constraint. Such persevering obedience is the path to true blessedness.
