Quick answer

God's own hand founded the earth and spread out the heavens; all creation answers his summons. The Creator commands all things.

Overview

Yahweh points to his work in laying the earth's foundation and stretching out the sky, with the heavenly host standing at his call. His authority over Cyrus and the nations flows from his creatorship. The New Testament confesses that all things were made through Christ, who likewise upholds creation by his word.

Christ at the center

Isaiah sees him most clearly: the virgin's son Immanuel, the child on David's throne, the shoot from Jesse, the light to the nations, and above all the Suffering Servant pierced for our transgressions (ch. 53).

How Isaiah 48:13 points to him is part of the one story that runs through all Scripture — meet Jesus at the heart of the web, or follow a trail that traces him from Genesis to Revelation.
