Overview
The idol stands fixed where it is set, deaf to prayer and unable to deliver anyone from trouble. Its immobility and silence prove its lifelessness. The contrast with Yahweh, who hears, speaks, and saves, could not be sharper, pointing us to the living God who answers in Christ.

Christ at the center
