Quick answer
God has spoken openly and truthfully, not in secret riddles; he does not tell his people to seek him in vain. He can be found.
Overview
Unlike the obscure oracles of pagan religion, Yahweh speaks plainly and reliably, declaring what is right. He never invites seekers to a fruitless search. This open self-revelation reaches its climax in Christ, the Word made flesh, in whom God speaks clearly and is truly found by all who seek him.
