Overview
The Lord announces that all the king proudly displayed will eventually be plundered and taken to Babylon. The prophecy looks beyond Hezekiah's reign to the Babylonian captivity. It shows that misplaced trust and pride bear bitter fruit, yet within Isaiah this very judgment becomes the backdrop for promises of future comfort and return.
