Overview
The Lord states the purpose of the whole Gog episode: to magnify, sanctify, and make Himself known before many nations. The refrain 'they shall know that I am Yahweh' runs throughout Ezekiel and reaches a climax here. God's saving and judging acts are ultimately self-revelation, a pattern fulfilled supremely in the cross and resurrection of Christ, through whom God makes His name known to all peoples.
