Overview
The judgment will reach even to the borders of Israel, fulfilled historically when fleeing leaders were captured and executed (cf. 2 Kings 25). The refrain "you will know that I am Yahweh" shows that judgment reveals God's sovereign reality. Even in wrath, God makes Himself known. The God who must be known as judge is graciously known as Savior through Christ.
