Quick answer

They brought the table with all its utensils and the bread of the Presence. The furnishings of the Holy Place were included.

Overview

The table held the twelve loaves of showbread, set continually before God as a sign of His covenant with the twelve tribes. The bread represented Israel's fellowship and dependence on God's provision. It points ahead to Christ, the true Bread of Life (John 6:35), who sustains His people and welcomes them into communion with God.

Christ at the center

The Passover lamb whose blood turns away death, the exodus through the sea, the manna, the rock, and the tabernacle where God dwells with his people all foreshadow Jesus — our Passover, our redemption, the bread from heaven, and God-with-us in the flesh.

How Exodus 39:36 points to him is part of the one story that runs through all Scripture — meet Jesus at the heart of the web, or follow a trail that traces him from Genesis to Revelation.
