Quick answer

The overjoyed king has Daniel lifted out, and no harm is found on him because he trusted in God. Daniel's faith is publicly vindicated.

Overview

Darius rejoices as Daniel emerges untouched, the text explicitly crediting his deliverance to his trust in God. Faith in the living God is shown to be well placed, even in the face of death. The verse holds up Daniel as a model of the faith that the New Testament likewise honors among those who through trust were preserved.
