Quick answer
God will send fire on Judah, consuming the palaces of Jerusalem. Even the chosen city is not exempt from judgment for forsaking the Lord.
Overview
Jerusalem, home of the temple and the Davidic throne, faces the same fiery judgment pronounced on pagan cities. This was fulfilled in Babylon's destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC. The message is sobering: covenant status does not shield the unfaithful. Yet from this same line God would bring the Messiah, the faithful Son who secures salvation by grace.
